M4 junction 17 to 19 resurfacing

  Closure information: Wednesday 7 to Tuesday 27 August

  There will be weeknight lane closures on the M4 westbound between junctions 17 and 18 between 8pm and 6am, at least one lane will remain open in each direction.

  The junction 18 westbound exit slip will also be closed weeknights from Tuesday 20 to Tuesday 27 August. Please follow signed diversion.

  Closure information: Wednesday 28 August to Wednesday 4 September

  The westbound carriageway will be closed between the junction 18 slips, weeknights between 10pm and 6am on Wednesday 28, Thursday 29 and Friday 30 August. It will then be closed at the slightly earlier time of 9pm on Monday 2, Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 September, still reopening by 6am.

  Closure information: Thursday 5 to Wednesday 11 September

  The junction 18 westbound exit slip will be closed weeknights 9pm to 6am. Please continue to junction 19 where you can join the eastbound carriageway to return to junction 18. During this time, there will also be lane closure on the main carriageway – at least one lane will remain open.

  We’ll then continue to work our way along the carriageway and slips roads using full and lane closures. Check back for details of upcoming closures as our work progresses.

  To minimise disruption, this work is taking place weeknights, when there is less traffic, with closures between 8pm and 6am, unless stated. During the day, the motorway will be open as usual.
