Resurfacing update
We’ll soon be returning to finish our resurfacing on the A259 in Little Common.
This work will take place overnight on Monday 29 & Tuesday 30 April, between 8pm and 6am only, when there’s less traffic on the road.
Closure information
The A259 will be closed between Little Common Roundabout and West Down Road from 8pm to 6am on Monday 29 & Tuesday 30 April.
This work is subject to favourable weather conditions, for example heavy rain may affect the progress.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their patience and understanding while we’ve been carrying out these essential improvements.
Diversion route
During the closures, a signed diversion will be in place going in both directions via the A22, A271, A269 and A2036.
Please bear in mind that closure dates and times can change. For the most up-to-date information, visit our Daily closures page.
Accessing your property during our work
An escort will be provided for properties in the area where we’re working, please approach the closure point. There could be a short wait while we make it safe for you to pass. This is for access only.
Please note, the escort is for access to properties within the current closure area only. Please use the diversion route to access properties outside of the working area. The site team will be happy to help if you have any questions about access.
