The following works will be undertaken over the next few months.
Demolition of the old farm buildings will commence in early September and take approximately four weeks to complete. These existing barns are in poor condition and need to be removed. We will limit noise and dust, but there will be some extra vehicle movements around the area. We will be installing an exclusion zone around the barn for the safety of the public and you’ll continue to be able to use footpaths and bridleways as normal.
To protect the trees, we need to put up some new fences. The work to install fencing has begun and will continue through August, September and October. Again, footpaths and bridleways will be open as normal.
What to expect over the next three months:
- Increased number of workers on site with an ongoing security presence throughout this period to help manage the site.
- Demolition of the old farm buildings to start in early September for around four weeks. Noise and dust mitigation measures will be in place to minimise the impact on residents.
- Installation of additional fencing to facilitate tree planting later this year.
